This hammered Bronze Cuff Bracelet has the most beautiful metal color … it reminds me of rose gold. I had no idea how beautiful bronze metal would be and with the price of sterling silver fluctuating up and down, I decided to give bronze a go.

This handcrafted bronze cuff was given a hammered texture with a matte satin finish. I forged the shape of the cuff to closely follow the curvature of the wrist. And in case you are curious, the bronze of this design is actually called phosphor bronze, which is a high-strength bronze - bronze is a copper alloy (~90% copper, ~10% tin and traces of phosporus).

In 3300 - 1200 BC, Bronze was developed as a durable alternative to gold early on in Mesopotamia and Egypt. While Copper was used prior to bronze, true bronze jewelry appeared as societies mastered metallurgy.
