This handcrafted, Native American inspired ring design features the ever so popular No. 8 Turquoise exhibiting shades of blue/green with a distinct brown matrix running throughout. This amazing Modern Southwestern style ring was fabricated from sterling silver. The backside of the ring, as well as the fine silver bezel that surrounds the stone, was fused with recycled sterling silver dust, my favorite texture.

This handmade No. 8 Mine Turquoise sterling silver ring is amazing. The sterling silver ring band is a three prong split shank band and is fused with recycled sterling silver dust, giving it my favorite texture. This texture is also found on the backside of the setting, as well as the fine silver bezel surrounding the stone. The entire ring was given a patina bath and light polish to bring out the texture highlights for that rusticated finish I love.

I did spend many hours designing this turquoise ring, fusing texture, creating all the intricate details and perfecting the fit of all its parts … there is also a lot of filing involved. AND this finished ring goes perfectly with the matching No. 8 Turquoise Sterling Silver Pendant that is also available.

The No.8 turquoise mined in Eureka County, Nevada was discovered in 1925 and first mined in 1929. At present, the mine is closed to turquoise mining, so having a piece of this very sought after turquoise is becoming rare and expensive.
