This handcrafted, Native American inspired pendant design features a beautiful green Timberline Turquoise with a distinct brown matrix running throughout. This amazing Modern Southwestern style pendant was fabricated from sterling silver. The backside of the pendant, as well as the fine silver bezel that surrounds the stone, was fused with recycled sterling silver dust, my favorite texture.

This handcrafted sterling silver pendant is hung from a brown faux suede cord, which compliments the brown matrix throughout. Additionally the hammered sterling silver clasp, and jump rings have all been hand fabricated. And finally, all of the handcrafted sterling silver components, in addition to the pendant, were given a patina bath, followed by a light polish to bring out the texture highlights for that rusticated finish I love.

The intention for this Native inpired turquoise pendant was that it would be worn as a longer style necklace, although I don’t design long necklaces very often. It is a casual but very beautiful necklace, with the Modern Southwestern style pendant drawing all of the attention, and it definitely does!

This turquoise pendant did come out a bit pricier than I expected, but a lot of time went into this unique piece. Many hours were spent designing this pendant, with all the intricate details, and every part, as always, was crafted by me. The finished pendant came out exactly how I imagined … I hope you like it as much as I do.

Timberline Turquoise originates from the small Timberline Mine in Nevada. It gained popularity and fame during the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s, but is now considered very rare and hard to find for collectors and jewelry maker. This is actually my first time working with Timberline Turquoise.
