Damele Turquoise Copper + Fine Silver Cuff Bracelet (Med)

Damele Turquoise Copper + Fine Silver Cuff Bracelet (Med)

This slim cuff is a textured copper cuff with a very cute, dark green, damele turquoise. The Damele mine is a small mine located a short distance Northeast of Austin, Nevada. It produces a very small amount of turquoise and variscite and most material found today was rough mined long ago. The Damele mine produces a wide range of colorful material in yellows, golds, greens and blue-grays. The spider-webbing is often very fine and tight. Damele turquoise is very sought after and can be extremely pricey.

I fabricated this cuff from 13ga copper sheet, hammering the surface to create texture. The fine silver bezel that surrounds this gorgeous turquoise gemstone has been fused with recycled fine silver dust creating a very unique, rustic texture.   Additionally recycled argentium silver pieces were melted to create silver balls (7) that were fused to the surface of the cuff . The entire copper cuff was given a patina bath of golds and browns and finally the entire cuff was finished with a light coat of wax. Be sure to read my blog entry on cuff bracelets for information about cuff placement and the do's and don'ts for placing a cuff bracelet on your wrist.

This handcrafted turquoise gemstone copper cuff bracelet is approximately 3/8” in width. The actual turquoise stone setting is 11/16” in length and 9/16” in width. This handmade turquoise copper cuff bracelet has an approximate inside measurement of 6", in addition to the 1" gap, for a total inside measurement of ~7" - this cuff will fit best for wrist sizes 6 1/2 to 6 3/4”.   Be sure to read my blog entry on cuff bracelets for information about cuff placement and the do's and don’ts for placing a cuff bracelet on your wrist.

Please avoid moisturizers and or perfume on the area of your wrist where your bracelet will be worn, as it may react with the copper and leave dark marks on your wrist.  Also, some people have skin reactions to copper and it could leave dark marks on their skin.  Either way, the dark marks can be washed off easily with a little soap and water.

Wearing copper bracelets for health benefits has a long history, all the way back to ancient Egypt. Other than being very grounding, copper is also said to be beneficial for those who have arthritis/inflammation, joint pain, and joint stiffness.
