Orthoceras Fossil & Sterling Silver Ring
An orthoceras fossil displayed in an open setting makes for a very "interesting" ring. If you like fossils, as I do, wearing an extinct nautiloid cephalopod, such as the orthoceras, will definitely be a one-of-a-kind experience for the wearer.
This handcrafted orthoceras fossil is set in sterling silver by using prongs and an open back setting. This fossil needed to breathe (not literally), so I left the setting as open as possible. This hammered sterling silver ring is size 7 3/4 and the band width is 5/16". The actual fossil setting is 1 1/2" in length and 1/2" at its widest point.
Each piece of my handcrafted metal jewelry designs are stamped with my logo and my signature initials "DHR".
