My Design Inspiration

I have always had a love for semi-precious gemstones, as well as fossils and rocks.  When designing handmade gemstone jewelry pieces, this passion is reflected in my designs. I am inspired by the natural minerals and fossils to create simple but expressive handcrafted jewelry designs.

Because natural gemstones and fossils can stand alone as a work of art, handcrafted gemstone jewelry has the ability to make a statement, no matter how simple the design.  I don't like to complicate my designs, as I don't want to take away from the natural beauty of the semi-precious gemstones and fossils. As an artist, using what is naturally beautiful is such a gift, and I enjoy using my creativity to showcase that beauty in the most simple way.

Gemstone jewelry by danielle is a collection of "one-of-a-kind" and a few "limited edition" handcrafted gemstone and fossil jewelry pieces using copper and silver. Because gemstones and fossils always vary in color and matrix, any of my handmade gemstone jewelry designs will be unique in some way.

Larimar Sterling Silver Oxidized Ring

I love larimar gemstones, with their sky blue color matrix. The blue of this larimar gemstone looks so perfect when paired with sterling silver. I set this larimar gemstone in a reticulated sterling silver band. I reticulated the sterling silver band just enough to give it an etched look that would be absolutely complimented with an oxidized patina. I then oxidized the entire sterling silver setting, polishing to leave only shiny silver highlights. This handcrafted larimar sterling silver ring is definitely a beauty.

This handcrafted, larimar sterling silver ring is size 8 1/2 and the band is 5/16" in width. This rectangular-ish shaped, larimar gemstone setting is 7/8" in length and 1/2" at its widest point. You will fall in love with this handmade larimar gemstone and oxidized sterling silver ring. The sky blue larimar gemstone will surely draw you in to drink from its gorgeous blue sky beauty.
