Fossilized Horse Tooth Sterling Silver Pendant
Have you ever thought about wearing a fossil? Have you ever thought about wearing a fossilized horse tooth from the Pleistocene (~2.588 million to 12,000 years BP)? This fossilized horse tooth, from the species Equus complicatus, was located in the ACE River Basin in Colleton County, South Carolina. While on vacation, I came across this fossil and thought to myself "what a great conversation piece for someone to wear as a piece of jewelry".
I set this fosslized horse tooth pendant in an open setting by using sterling silver prongs. The slightly rusticated sterling silver pendant is simple yet expressive, with the fossilized horse tooth as the center of attention.
This handcrafted, sterling silver, fossilized horse tooth pendant is 2" in length, including the bail, and 1 1/4" at its widest point. The sterling silver bail is large enough to fit most clasps. Wear this handmade horse tooth pendant on your favorite necklace, or purchase the optional black leather necklace with sterling silver clasp. You can choose either option when you add this hand forged pendant into your shopping cart.
Each piece of my handcrafted metal jewelry designs are stamped with my logo and my signature initials "DHR".
