Ammonite & Sterling Silver Pendant
This very colorful, ammonite fossil is set in sterling silver, making for a very stunning handcrafted ammonite fossil pendant. In this particular ammonite, the chambers have been replaced with minerals during fossilization. Wearing an extinct cephalopod, such as the ammonite, will definitely be a one-of-a-kind experience for the wearer. After all, ammonites went extinct about 65 million years ago, which is the same time period the dinosaurs went extinct.
I designed this ammonite, sterling silver, fossil pendant as a simple display piece to be worn as a definite focal point around the neck. This handcrafted, sterling silver, fossil pendant is 2" in length, including the bail and 2 1/2" at the widest point. This fossil made for a very interesting pendant, but then again all fossils are intesting to me. After all, I am a geologist.
The hand forged sterling silver bail is on the back side of the pendant, large enough to fit most clasps. Wear this handcrafted ammonite fossil pendant on your favorite necklace, or purchase the optional black leather necklace with sterling silver clasp. You can choose either option when you add this hand forged pendant into your shopping cart.
Each piece of my handcrafted metal jewelry designs are stamped with my logo and my signature initials "DHR".
