Ammonite Fossil & Sterling Silver Pendant
An ammonite fossil set in a sterling silver makes for a very eye-catching pendant. If you like fossils, as I do, you will love wearing an ammonite that has been fossilized in black shale. Wearing an extinct cephalopod, such as the ammonite, will definitely be a one-of-a-kind experience for the wearer. After all, ammonites went extinct about 65 million years ago, so it is definitely an antique.
I designed this handmade sterling silver fossil pendant with prongs, allowing for open sides of the fossil. More of the fossil can be seen this way. This handcrafted, sterling silver, fossil pendant is 2" in length, including the bail and 1 1/2" at the widest point. This made for a very interesting pendant, but then again all fossils are intesting to me.
The hand forged sterling silver bail is on the back side of the pendant, large enough to fit most clasps through. Wear this handcrafted ammonite fossil pendant on your favorite necklace, or purchase the optional black leather necklace with sterling silver clasp. You can choose either option when you add this hand forged pendant into your shopping cart.
Each piece of my handcrafted metal jewelry designs are stamped with my logo and my signature initials "DHR".
