My Design Inspiration

I have always had a love for semi-precious gemstones, as well as fossils and rocks.  When designing handmade gemstone jewelry pieces, this passion is reflected in my designs. I am inspired by the natural minerals and fossils to create simple but expressive handcrafted jewelry designs.

Because natural gemstones and fossils can stand alone as a work of art, handcrafted gemstone jewelry has the ability to make a statement, no matter how simple the design.  I don't like to complicate my designs, as I don't want to take away from the natural beauty of the semi-precious gemstones and fossils. As an artist, using what is naturally beautiful is such a gift, and I enjoy using my creativity to showcase that beauty in the most simple way.

Gemstone jewelry by danielle is a collection of "one-of-a-kind" and a few "limited edition" handcrafted gemstone and fossil jewelry pieces using copper and silver. Because gemstones and fossils always vary in color and matrix, any of my handmade gemstone jewelry designs will be unique in some way.

As I write about each new design, I also try to include the crystal attributes for each gemstone. The information that I have for each stone is taken loosely and in part from my personal reference books. If you would like to learn more information about gemstones/crystals, the books that I reference are the following: Gemstones A to Z by Diane Stein and The Crystal Bible by Judy Hall.

Septarian Gemstone Copper Cuff Bracelet

Septarian gemstones are extremely powerful as they combine all the metaphysical properties of the minerals that compose this gemstone.  Septarians are composeds of Calcite (The Yellow Centers), Aragonite (The Brown Lines), and the outer grey rock is Limestone.

Septarian aids in communication with our Mother Earth.  It is also a good grounding stone, and it relates to the Root, Sacral and Solar Plexus Chakras.  Septarian plays a role in rapid healing for the body and degeneration of teeth bones and muscles. Septarian Nodules help in banishing nightmares, negative energy and block psychic attacks. (i.e. psychic vampirism).

This septarian gemstone is set in an oxidized copper cuff bracelet. I formed this copper cuff and did quite a bit of heating and hammering to give it the rustic look you see the picture.  More info ...

Blue Mountain Jasper Sterling Silver Pendant

There is not much information on blue mountain jasper, specifically, but I have read that blue jaspers are a good stone when trying to connect to the spiritual world.  Blue jaspers also stimulates the throat chakra, balances the yin-yang energy and also stabilizes the aura.

Of course jasper, in general, is known as the "supreme nuturer".  It sustains and supports the wearer in times of stress, and brings about tranquility and wholeness. Jasper supports the circulatory, digestive, and sexual organs.  It also balances the mineral content of the body.

Wow, what a beauty is this handcrafted blue mountain jasper sterling silver pendant. This blue mountain jasper gemstone from Oregon, features white, blue-green and gray patterns.  Seems that blue mountain jasper is a very sought after gemstone, as it was priced on the higher end of the usual jaspers I have purchased in the past.
